Gypsy is a REIT protocol built on the Ethereum blockchain. Gypsy enables investors to purchase digital securities backed by a global real estate portfolio and allows renters to rent and build equity in these homes.

## Gypsy is comprised of two main components:

1. [Gypsy.City](https://gypsy.city/) - A rental platform for renters in the Gypsy homes
2. [GypsyToken.org](https://gypsytoken.org/) - An investment platform for investors in Gypsy homes

These two components work in unison to create an ecosystem between renters and investors in which:

[**Renters**](https://docs.gypsytoken.org/gypsy-protocol/renters) are able to book medium to long-term stays in a global selection of homes while also earning yield-bearing equity in real estate.

[**Investors**](https://docs.gypsytoken.org/gypsy-protocol/investors) are able to diversify into yield-bearing home equity and integrate into the Defi ecosystem.
